Gavin sleeps through the night!!!!!

So Mr. Gavin has been really giving me a run for my money with his sleep issues. In the past, he has been waking every 2 hours or so, not because he needs to eat, just because he wants mommy to come and rock him back to sleep. Well, yesterday, I decided it was time for him to start to learn how to self sooth and learn how to get himself back to sleep. I started with his naps, putting him down drowsy, but awake. He would begin to cry and I would come back every 2 minutes to calm him down, but did NOT pick him up. I would rub his back, head and bum. This was enough to settle him down. Last night, he went down at 7:15, cried, we soothed, asleep by 7:30. Not a peep from him. I decided I would feed him before i went to bed to hopefully extend the silence. He ate 4 oz and went right back to sleep. I was in bed by 10:30 and asleep by 10:35. Not a peep from him until 5am! I make him a 6oz bottle which he sucked down. I changed his diaper, cuddled him, and put him back in his crib basically awake. He put himself to sleep without crying and slept until 8am!!! Luke slept until 8 too. I am feeling very well rested today. I hope this is the new trend!
