Sick Blogger and Party Planner

So I am quite behind in posts while trying to recover from the cold as well as prepare for Luke's Second birthday party, which was Saturday, the 14th. Luke turned 2 on Friday the 13th and he had his 2-year check-up. Luke is doing great. He is 37 inches tall and 27 lbs. (above average height and average weight.) I'm still kind of amazed at how much he has grown given how little he eats. He has over 100 words that I understand and has started to put 2-3 words together. He is doing a lot of roll playing taking care of his baby etc and loves to color and draw. He even holds a pen the correct way instead of holding it with his whole hand.

Saturday was his Birthday party. Just about everyone that was invited was able to come and then some. My friend, Julie, had her parents visiting from out of town, so they too came to the party. It was so good to see them. They were my surrogate parents when Julie and I were in college, inviting me to Easter brunches, or just a long weekend and a home cooked meal. Not to mention the use of their washing machine. My Cousin Erica was also home from college and brought her boyfriend to come too. My neighbor and good friend Leila was my superhero, taking coats, keeping the coffee brewed and really helping the party run smoothly. I am forever great-full to have a friend and neighbor like her. It was wonderful to see so many friends and our children play together. I have pictures to post, but need to get them from the camera. More to come!
