Yesterday, I took Luke back to the Doc. He still had a fever on day 5 of this virus, and I started to think he had a secondary infection like an ear infection. I was able to leave Gavin with Mike so that I didn't have to cart everyone back to the doc. It worked out since it was Gavin's nap time, and Mike really didn't lose any work time.
As Dr. H opened the door to the exam room, she has this look on her face like, " I can't believe you are back here again." She says, " I almost cried when I saw your name on the list." You and me both. So then she sits down and starts talking to Luke. (she just thinks he is the cutest funniest thing, plus her son's name is Luke too.) Luke says, "You have to listen to my heart." She agrees and gives a listen. Luke says, "I don't think I can hear anything." She got to his ears and low and behold, his left ear is just at the beginning of getting infected. So she wrote us a prescription for "pink medicine" which Luke was very excited about. I think I have the only 2 kids on the planet that LOVE taking medicine.
So hopefully this is the end of our visits to the doc for a bit. I can't believe how much I spent in co-pays this week.

Having spent the past month at the Dr's office for one kid or another, I feel your pain. Having to bring the well kid with the sick kid knowing that the now ell kid will be sick by the next visit.
Hooray for Mom's that pay enough attention to know that it's time to go back to the dr's. Sadly many parents don't bring the kid to the dr's, instead, they send them right off to school to make my kid sick.
Hopefully you will have a healthy February!
January has been a tough month. Our doc said it has been particularly hard this year because several of the viruses going around are contagious before they show symptoms and are spreading like wild fire. Lovely.
