Yes, I know I am 2 days late for this, but the parade is in Boston today, so I'm not THAT late. I'm not a basketball fan, and didn't follow that season at all, but when Boston sports teams do well, it reminds me of my Nana, the biggest Boston Sports fan EVER. She cheered them all on, especially the Red Sox, only to live her 68 years to never see them win a World Series. Hope you're watching from heaven Nana, and enjoying the view.
That brings me to the joke that my hubby told me a while back.
" A man was making his way across the country and visiting churches. He started in California. As he was in this church he noticed a phone that said, ' Direct line to God, $10/min.' He asked the pastor about it. The Pastor confirmed that it was a direct line to speak to God. The man thought this quiet unusual, and continued his quest across the nation to visit various churches. Next stop was Texas, and again there was a phone with a sign that said, 'Direct line to God, $10/min'. All across the nation in each state he stopped, there was the same phone with the same sign. Finally he reaches Boston, MA. Inside the church he finds the phone that says, 'direct line to God, 35¢/min.' The man is puzzled. He tells the pastor of his journey across the country and all the signs reading $10/min. The Pastor looks at him and says, ' This is Boston, home of the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins. It's a local call.'"
Cheers Bawston!
