I'm not in labor, just a lazy blogger

For those wondering, "where's ali?" (hi Lyndz) not to worry, i'm not in labor yet. I've got about 4 weeks left, (July 20th) hopefully sooner if I have anything to say about it. The nesting syndrome is in full force, and I have been trying to get things settled. I've been washing and organizing Luke's old baby clothes, plus mom has been here painting the basement all weekend, which will become our guest room/area once Luke moves into the other bedroom.

Here is a funny Luke story for those craving a good laugh. We have an ice and water dispenser on the outside of our fridge. Luke has been watching Hubby and I dispense said items into cups for the past few weeks. About 3 weeks ago, on one Saturday morning while hubby and I were drinking coffee and watching Luke play with a cup, we witness Luke walk over to the fridge and put a cup up to the water dispenser. Standing on tippy toes reaching and reaching. Hubby says, "You're not going to stop him are you?" "Nope," I say, "Just want to see his reaction when water comes shooting out." Well, water didn't. He wasn't quite tall enough.

Well yesterday, Luke became tall enough. He didn't have a cup in his hand, but decided to reach up and hit the water dispenser. I look up just in time to see the cold water come shooting out and nail him right in the face. He looks at me with total shock on his face and begins to scream/cry like he had fallen down a flight of stairs. I am trying my best not to laugh as I scoop him up and tell him it's OK, shaking as I hold in the waves of laughter, which seems to only upset him more. I'm horrible.

I was totally wondering...

That story made me laugh out loud! The other day Finn was sitting and bouncing on a balloon (you can see where this is going), and I decided to VIDEO TAPE the event until it popped and he fell to the floor scream-crying. It was a good laugh, even though I probably should have stopped the situation before it resulted in a scared/sad Finn. Sigh. :)
