So I saw the Doc on Wednesday and she said everything looks fine and that I was probably just low on fluid. She said that I could resume regular activities, with in reason (no yard work etc. ) So that is a relief.
Yesterday I took Luke to his Toddler Playgroup. The kids there range in age from 14mo. to 25mo. There is one kid in that group that is a bit of a bully (he is about 2). He must have hit Luke about 3-4 times. The first time I saw him pushing Luke away from the Lego table. Of course his mom was not paying attention so I just removed Luke from the situation. The second time the kid put Luke in a head lock as they were playing with the kitchen. The third time he hit Luke because he didn't want Luke near the trucks. Then it was snack time. We were the last to the table, and guess where the only empty seat was–right next to "Bully". Things went smoothly for the most part. And then the "kicker" at the end, Luke was trying to crawl up the ramp to the little slide. "Bully" was standing at the top of the ramp, didn't want Luke to come up, and kicked Luke in the chin. I think he only grazed him, since Luke didn't cry. Luke was not the only target during group either. I witnessed Bully take toys away from other children and dominate situations. I know this is just the beginning of things to come, I just hate that my child was a target of such behavior, and hope that Luke doesn't think it is OK to act like that and start doing it to other children. Right now, Luke has the sweetest disposition, and I hope it doesn't get tainted with bad apples.
