And So It Begins

We are headed to Killington VT tomorrow to spend the Thanksgiving weekend with Mike's family. So I was very motivated this morning to get a jump on the laundry. As I was changing the clothes from the washer to the dryer I notice something stuck to the inside of the washing machine. As I pry it loose, I realize it is a crayon–a RED crayon! ARGH! And only half of the crayon, which means the other half is either in the bottom of the washer, or I just tossed it into the dryer. Unload clothes from the dryer one by one in search of crayon. Not here. OK, must be in the bottom of the washer. Ah-ha! I found it! Thank God! The best part is that I SAW Luke stuff said crayon in his pocket yesterday afternoon–thinking to myself–OK remember to check pockets for crayons. Clearly I forgot to do so, but the laundry gremlins were actually on my side and let me see the crayon before tossing it into the dryer, where it would have melted all over the clothes. (Those pesky gremlins usually just steal one sock from the dryer). Only 3 items have red crayon on them, one of my nursing nightgowns and 2 socks. Hopefully it will wash out. But it least it is nothing I wear in public.
