One, Two Three!

Luke's obsession with the phone is truly going to put me over the edge. Since he dialed 9-1-1, there has been no more playing with the phone. Anyone raising toddlers will tell you that making an item forbidden will incur the wrath of the child when they want it. Well today Luke helped himself to the phone by getting it off the TOP of the piano. (not sure how Houdini did this, but that is another tail.) He sees me coming to get the phone back and he makes a dash for it. He runs behind the couch. I demand the phone back (in a firm but nice voice). Luke does not comply. I say again, "I am going to count to three, and you better hand that phone over, or I am going to take it and you will do a time out for not listening. ONE…" Luke says, "TWO!" Now I start rolling with laughter and have completely undermined any authority I might have had. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. At least he is learning to count. He can count to 10 actually.

I am trying to teach Finn to hold up 2 fingers when I ask him how old he is. But he either holds up 1 finger while STARING at the others (as if to say "cooperate!"). Or he wiggles all 5. :)
