It's Going to be a Looong Week

The Hubby is in Orlando this week, so it is just me and the boys holding down the fort. Well, actually I think I am the only one holding down the fort, while the boys attempt to take it over. And they may succeed if they stick to their plan to make me a sleep deprived zombie. Gavin has decided that 5 am is a perfectly acceptable hour to wake up and has done so every day this week so far. I would find this almost bearable, if I were getting to bed by 10opm and sleeping straight through. Well, that is not happening either. Monday night, Gavin woke up at 10pm and screamed until 11:30pm. I changed him, feed him, gave him some Tylenol (for teeth) and Mylacon for gas (farting up a storm) over the course of that hour and a half. Nothing seemed to help, except my presence. So I finally decided that he just wanted company and to play. Sorry pal, you are going to sleep. Then Luke was up at 5am. I get Luke back to sleep, and Gavin is up at 5:30. ARGH!

Fast forward to last night where Gavin cried himself to sleep after and hour (6:30-7:30). I get Luke off to bed by 8pm and I'm off to bed at 10pm. Luke wakes up at 3am, Gavin cries at 3:30, but goes right back to sleep on his own. Sweet! I don't have to get out of bed, but I'm still awake. Luke wakes up again at 4:25am. I get Luke back to sleep and Gavin wakes up at 5am. They are trying to kill me. So get Gavin a bottle and change his diaper hoping this is enough to get him back to sleep. I'm back in bed by 5:30. 15 minutes later I can hear Gavin giggling, squealing and goofing off in his bed. hmmm, I'm not going to get back to sleep.

So here I am, it is 11:15am, gavin is napping, who will no doubt wake up as soon as I put Luke down for a nap at 12:30, and I have basically been awake since 3am. 8pm is very far away, and I will be going to bed as soon as Luke is asleep.

Aaaaack! I feel for you...lots of miles away. I am watching the clock all day today, for 10 o'clock. Maya won't go to sleep for the night a second before 10pm. So I have been sleep-walking through the day until 10. Hang in there! (Maya wore her one day supply of onesies you gave her, today! And a couple of others when the supply ran out after I forgot to give her the acid reflux medicine this morning...)
