Sometimes Luke is just too excited about his new found freedom in his big bed to go to sleep. So he looks out the window, gets out of bed to look in the closet, check out his clothes in his drawers, and of course, rock in his rocking chair. I put a door knob cover on the inside of his door so that at least he can't escape his room anymore. Today at nap-time it was much the same, Luke goofing off. I went down there 4 times to tell him to get back in bed, stop looking out the window, etc. Finally at 1:45 (An hour after I put him down for nap), I could hear the rocking chair moving…it squeaks.
But I decided I wasn't going back down there and if he naps great and if not, he can go to be an hour earlier. By 2pm is was quiet. Guess he got back into bed and went to sleep.
At 3:10 I decided I would wake him for fear that having him sleep longer would result in him not going to bed until 9pm. I go down to his room, open the door, look around, and don't see him in his bed, or on the floor, or in the rocking chair. As I step into the room further, I see a little bundle on the floor behind the rocking chair. There Luke was curled up with his bum in the air fast asleep. I thought about running to get my camera to capture the scene, but if someone woke me up with a flash bulb, I'd be pretty unhappy. So I just gently rubbed his back. He stirred and sat up. Looked around and saw me there. "wha ya doin' mommy?" I reply, "waking you up." "Oh…Watching Blue?" Luke you want to watch Blue? "OK".

Love it! My mom used to find us in all kinds of places napping --- my sister was asleep in the closet one time, totally panicked my mom when she didn't see her.
That is really cute! We found Ella under her bed one time. I guess kids can sleep anywhere :)
